Questions about PNG to PDF
- Does converting PNG to PDF improve the image quality?
- No, and it can get slightly worse. PNG keeps every pixel; PDF is a lossy format that discards some detail to make the file smaller.
- What happens to transparency?
- It is lost. PNG supports transparency and PDF does not, so transparent areas are filled with white. If the background colour matters, flatten the image onto a solid background before converting.
- Can I combine several images into one PDF?
- Yes. Drop more than one file and the converter writes a single PDF with one image per page, in the order shown in the list.
- Is there a file size limit?
- No limit that we impose. The only ceiling is your device's memory, so a very large photo or a long recording may take a few seconds.
- Are my files uploaded anywhere?
