- No, and it can get slightly worse. TIFF keeps every pixel; JPG is a lossy format that discards some detail to make the file smaller.
- What happens to transparency?
- It is lost. TIFF supports transparency and JPG does not, so transparent areas are filled with white. If the background colour matters, flatten the image onto a solid background before converting.
- Is there a file size limit?
